RE: Spray foam interior in Sprinter cargo van

I use on Sprinter 180 kit something like here:http://www.bestmaterials.com/detail.aspx?ID=16183
I did after all electrical work, pluming, windows.
It is massy job ,make sure everything is cover . It is extremely difficult to clean overspray. Before I use that I had also install bubble foil.
It holds heat down a lot in summer, it was worth efforts.
The 180 kit was little to small for sprinter full size ,with 5 windows installed.
hope this help

RE: Propane line to remotely grill -question

vic46
I fallow RVIA code, from thier books "RV propane system" "Plumbing"and "electrical"
Chris Bryant
I agree 3/8 would be minimum.
I found on web Magma extension hose for that grill 10', and they use fitting on that hose 3/8 female swivel flair 45 degree, so the hose has to be 3/8" ID
Thank you

RE: Propane line to remotely grill -question

Yes, this grill can be use with low pressure or high pressure , depend what valve is beeing use. I have already made in Rv quick disconnect in the back of the rv (low pressure).

Propane line to remotely grill -question

I am planing to use my grill remotly 12-15 feet from Rv and use low pressure propane from RV. What hose ID shuld I use minimum? The pressure is less then 1 psi . The grill is Magma party size 10.700 btu
I contacted the Magma people but thier technical support is not so good. They came out with ID size 1/4. At this low pressure I think it may be to much restriction at the lenght 12- 15 feet.
Any thought?
Thank you

RE: Sprinter Vans- highest mileage/breakdowns

We have 2006 Sprinter 14000 miles on it, so far runs great except the switch for windshield washer pump broke (replaced on warranty)
Average 21.8 MPG. I choose Sprinter because it is perfect for do it your self conversions , lots of room underneath to install all the tanks, Generator itc. Also inside height is just right, good for towing boat even is steep hills like Adirondack NY.

Roadtrek owners-question?

How do you like the spring hinges in your overhang cabinets door?
Are the doors holding all the way up after been using for while?
Are the screws holding ok? it seem like there is lot of force on the screws when door are closing
I believe the brand is "easy on" , they use them in Sprinter Adventure. I will have to pick between those spring hinges or regular hinges with "Door Strut Spring Loaded - 6-1/4"
Thank you

RE: Sprinter ,windshield fluid pump not working??

Thank you
I do not think I have rain sensor, most likely it is the switch. I found also from other people who had same issue.
Thank you for help. The van is still under warranty so I will visit the dealer.

Sprinter ,windshield fluid pump not working??

Did anybody experience problem with the windshield washer pump? I checked all fuses, they are OK.
Also removed plug to the pump which is mounted on the reservoir and hook up meter there is no voltage as the button is pressed. The wipers are working in all position, but they are not coming on when tried to turn on windshield fluid. This is 2006 Sprinter.
Thank you

RE: TV in B, what you think about my design?

The speakers I used are "Creative" brand. My are older models, something similar it will be now "Creative Inspire T6100" or Creative Inspire P5800. My system is 5.1 with power subwoofer, you will need also 5.1 audio card.

RE: Looking for a way to mount 2 batteries under my Sprinter van

lzcamper
I measured the box underneath the van and it is 12.5" to the floor plus the thickness of the floor about 3/4" - 1". So together would be aprox. 13 1/4, and it could be up to 1/2" deeper if necessary, but no more then that.

I will measure how deep is the box over the weekend. My driveway is that way, very steep to the level of the street and no problem.

RE: TV in B, what you think about my design?

bananadanna
No James Bond :), but in my career I did so many projects the list would be very long. Back in Poland my biggest project was the Lumber machine powered with big diesel, It could cut wood 2 feet DIA and 30 feet long in 15 minutes and it had 12 blades installed. Also I made planner, router, lathe, table saw, grinder, hoist itc.
So working now on RV is just pleasure, but everything is very much time consuming. To make it faster I would have to have two garages one would be woodshop, and the other would have to be machine shop with some welding area.
As far as my TV bracket I wanted to make it turntable so could be watch from outside, but I give up. My bracket has one more position I could not show on picture when I will lay down the TV can be push more towards back doors so the angle would be better for laying position :h

RE: TV in B, what you think about my design?

I designed and fabricated the bracket and the folding mechanism. It stay very still in down and up position, no addition support need it.
I pick the PC monitor for my bracket because of the lighter weight then TV with speakers.

TV in B, what you think about my design?

Before I made my foldable TV in Sprinter,I wanted to be able to watch the Tv from almost any place in Rv. So here are a few pictures.
The monitor is 22", it is hook to PC it has cable
TV pci card, wifi with external turnable panel antenna, Dvd player, home theatre with center speaker that is retractable to the cabinet as the monitor is folded up.
http://i11.tinypic.com/8503bit.jpg width=640
as the monitor is been folded the speaker disapearing in the cabinet.

RE: Looking for a way to mount 2 batteries under my Sprinter van

Acuually I got two T 145 (260 APH) in that box.
When you make the box use heavier gauge sheet metal, make sure the box has been vented in the bottom and the top for air circulation.
Also when I run cable throu the floor I use plastic bushings so the cable does not get cut. And last, measure 5 times and cut once.
